In this episode, we get to talk with Dr. Mike Gibson about his start up and process of creating his non-profit, The Young Professionals Academy. Dr. Gibson has a passion for education and continues down his own path of educational excellence. Holding an MBA, as well as Doctorates degree, he focuses on mentorship, leadership, and provides opportunities to the youth of the Saint Louis Community.
As a high school business teacher, Dr. Gibson discovered a need in his students. He developed a program to help tutor students so they could improve their grades. Within the program, he focused on teaching students life skills and mentors them by showing them the ways of professionalism. With a background in higher education, he works with students and families to find the best scholarships to support the financial burden that comes with going to college.
Mike Gibson works hard to reform education by intersecting the community of Saint Louis with the school systems. He opens doors for students across the Saint Louis region and is growing his non-profit with the help of sponsors and inspiring entrepreneurs within the area.
