The success in the kitchen comes as no surprise, the majority of Loryn’s childhood revolved around cooking extravagant and fun meals for her family. When Loryn met Edo, she developed a love for Balkan food as she would cook to help him feel a little less homesick.
The trajectory of Loryn’s career changed on an intensive R&D trip to the Balkans. She quickly picked up on traditions that she could take home to St. Louis. After running a successful food truck, Balkan Treat Box found its home in Webster Groves in 2019. Nalic has been featured in Food & Wine, James Beard Finalist, St. Louis Business Journal, along with many other publications.
